Cut in half, remove the core, and slice into long strips.<\/p>\n<p>Toss in a baking pan with olive oil and salt.<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 350*F until very soft with intense flavor.  Stir every 15 mins or so to release water and keep it from burning.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from oven and add balsamic vinegar, stir.  For the 2 head recipe, maybe add 2-3 tablespoons.<\/p>\n<p>Serve.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it. This is a great way to eat more vegetables without feeling like you&#8217;re eating a ton of food. 1 head of cabbage can easily serve one person if the rest of the dinner is light. But this 2 head dish can be divided into about 4 servings if desired.<\/p>\n<p>I like to serve this with <a href=\"http:\/\/norwitz.net\/blog\/2008\/01\/24\/baked-salmon\/\">baked salmon<\/a> or other fish or as a side dish to tofu, <a href=\"http:\/\/norwitz.net\/blog\/2008\/01\/03\/nut-loaf\/\">nut loaf<\/a>, or just about anything.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/norwitz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/roasted_cabbage_1968.JPG\" alt=\"Roasted cabbage just out of the oven\" width=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe couldn&#8217;t be easier.
