		<description>Hi Cyndi!  I have made two batches of pickles, basically following this recipe.  It was the easiest for me to understand and get.  I got a glass pitcher and had a smaller pyrex bowl that fit just perfectlyto weight them down.

I was perusing the Joy of Cooking and it said that if the cucumbers have been picked for more than 24 hours when you start to pickle them, you will get hollow pickles.  Don&#039;t know if that&#039;s true or not, but thought I&#039;d comment since you said one batch came out hollow.</description>
